While developing research theories working on one of my latest books regarding Negro League Baseball , I happen to find out that Louis Armstrong owned a baseball team, the Armstrong s Secret 9 . Learning that fact sparked my interest in finding out more about the music of the 30 s, especially the The BIG Band Era . I immediately began to surround my studio with literature and of course the sounds.
